What You Will Do:
The OEM Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining sales relationships with Tecumseh OEM customers in a defined territory. Through frequent interaction including customer visits, technical presentations, and sales support, this position is responsible for maintaining existing relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and growing the business. This is a hands-on role that requires a sound understanding of Tecumseh products and how they can meet our customer's requirements. In addition to education and sales experience, the candidate must demonstrate an ability to exceed objectives, manage multiple priorities and always look for ways to improve the bottom line.
How You Will Do It:
- Conceptualizing and communicating within the organization on how the company products and services affect opportunities and sales growth.
- Performing customer needs assessments and solution finding sessions.
- Reviewing customer operations for improving business process opportunities.
- Understanding product capability gaps or functionality, communicating internally, and championing solutions.
- Developing and delivering product presentations based on the necessities and competitive sales condition.
- Providing responses for product and technical requests.
- Participating at tradeshows, conferences, and other events as required by Sales Management and Product Marketing.
- Developing and maintaining business and client contact.
- Associating with user groups, industry groups, etc.
- Providing specifications and quotes to prospective customers.
What We Look For:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of prior sales experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field.
- Understanding of distribution, supply chain, and manufacturing business issues.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent time management and organization skills required.
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to make effective presentations or demonstrations in time constrained situations.
- Ability to prioritize the work in multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
Additional Information:
- Travel: This is a work from home opportunity, with travel expectations up to 50%.
- Physical Demands: Lifting a minimum of 25lbs, occasionally. Position is a desk position. Long periods of computer and/or phone interaction is required.
