Position Overview:
The Inside Sales & Supply Chain Associate is a multi-faceted support role in the Tecumseh Mexico organization. This role encompasses external customer facing responsibilities and direct customer sales engagement and account management processes; as well as a focus on internal strategic support responsibilities that extend to not only working with the regional Mexico & Central America based customers and Monterrey based Tecumseh team but include working with the US based business teams as well. Additionally, this role will be responsible for inventory management, placing intercompany requisitions, and coordinating with the US supply chain team to manage target inventory levels and schedule shipments between sites. This role will also interact with finance. This role is a pivotal position in the Mexico organization to coordinate administrative processes between the sales, supply chain and warehouse teams that ensure a seamless customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- End-to-end account & order management control and processing for regional Mexico & Central America based OEM / OE and wholesale / distribution customers.
- Input & management of customer purchase orders into the order entry system (ORACLE).
- Input and management of internal requisition / internal sales order (IRISO) process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve orders and order shipment issues – both in-bound & out-bound.
- Scan purchase orders and related correspondence into a document storage system.
- Respond to customer correspondence via phone or e-mail.
- Support supply chain team with inventory forecast, planning and reporting activities for Mexico warehouse(s).
- Engage with Tecumseh producing entities on intercompany / direct order shipments to Mexico warehouse(s); and work closely with shipping & receiving associates in Mexico team.
- Promote and support regional sales teams to push seasonal marketing programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and intent of the position.
Required Education and Experience:
- Engineering, Administration degree or similar qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar administration roles.
- Require at least 5+ years of related administration / customer service / sales experience
- Advanced PC skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Require system knowledge and experience with ORACLE / SAP / JDE or other global ERP applications.
- Demantra (ORACLE) or other forecasting / demand planning software / applications experience an advantage.
- Knowledge of Global import & export processes and cross-border trade, customs regulations, duties structure preferred.
- HVAC&R Industry experience preferred.
- Specific knowledge of compressors and condensing units would be a plus.
- Project management experience an advantage.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Customer centric and customer support focus driven individual.
- Able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form (Spanish & English) with both internal and external contacts.
- Must be willing to work independently with minimal supervision and self-schedule.
- Must be able to operate in a matrixed organization, with multiple reporting levels.
- Proven track record of establishing goals and objectives, handling multiple priorities and completing tasks on time.
- Effective organization and time management skills.
Additional Information:
Travel: Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required – approx. 10%.
Physical Demands: Lifting a minimum of 25lbs, occasionally. This position is primarily a desk position where long periods of working on a computer and telephone are required.
