Position Overview:
This position will focus on delivering operational excellence across key HR functions including employee relations, talent management, administration of HR policies and procedures, training and development, benefits, and employee communications. The Sr. HR Generalist will collaborate closely with site business leaders and regional HR leadership to ensure alignment with organization objectives while enhancing the employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and recommending appropriate actions.
- Provides coaching and support to managers/supervisors on issues of company/HR policy application.
- Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement.
- Ensure a facilitative, responsive, proactive, and service oriented approach to providing human resources services in a transformational environment.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment laws while mitigating organizational risk.
- Oversee and/or facilitate recruitment efforts and extend and negotiate offers to candidates.
- Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, conducting orientation, ensuring a positive experience and integration into the company.
- Approve and assist with site payroll.
- Support and partner with external law firm to administer immigration documents and processing required for onboarding new hires and maintaining current workforce visas.
- Support global expat initiatives and administer required contracts and documentation for the site, including but not limited to employment, immigration, housing, and cultural integration.
- Oversee local performance review and merit processes.
- Assist with internal transfers.
- Administer development plans, work with managers to identify corrective actions and appropriate training for performance improvement plans.
- Participate in benefit and compensation surveys to determine industry competitiveness and analyze results.
- Assist with benefit administration.
- Conduct site training on skill proficiency, development needs, procedures and processes and ensure understanding and alignment.
- Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development.
- Develops proactive communications, employee relations, employee recognition and appreciation programs.
- Lead and organize employee relations events and programs.
- Administer local SharePoint and Teams site as an information resource for employees and the HR community.
- Drive and lead special projects geared toward improving HR ways of working and the employee experience.
- Provide financial and global metric reporting on key performance indicators within HR.
- Provide support to operations safety programs, initiatives and processes including coordination of workers compensation and return to work programs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements governing human resources.
- Conduct Exit Interviews and assist in offboarding employees.
- Maintain employee records and files (physical and electronic).
- Completes form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualification, Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a HR Generalist role with increasing responsibility.
- Direct work experience with employee relations is preferred.
- Self-starter.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Analytical.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize needs.
Additional Information
Travel: 0 – 10%
Physical Demands: Lifting a minimum of 25lbs, occasionally. Position is a desk position. Long periods of computer and/or phone are required.
