Tecumseh Products Company LLC has an opening for the position of Sr. Manager, NA OEM Sales (Ref# SMNA623VP).

Work Location: 5683 Hines Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. Position may telecommute / work remotely 2 days per week. Position requires up to 50% domestic & international travel.

Job Duties: Responsible for growing compressor sales for key OEM customers in North America (NA) market, including key account OEMs within the Food Retail, Food Service, and the growing heat pump segments. Formulate strategy for Tecumseh’s commercial sales activities in these segments. Formulate and execute strategy for Tecumseh’s product development to serve these segments. Manage strategic customer accounts, developing relationships to grow sales and increase market share. Direct management of Tecumseh’s sales activities in these segments focused on driving sales performance. Manage direct reports responsible for account coverage in the segments. Solve application engineering issues to support customer accounts. Manage one or more key customers accounts. Identify and interact with key customer contacts to nurture and grow business relationships. Provide short and long-term sales forecasts and reports. Establish strategic sales objectives for the region, identifying threats and opportunities in each market, and project expected sales volume as well as margin for the region. Set targets, provide forecasts, track performance and KPIs and provide actionable tasks to ensure sales results align with growth and financial objectives. Provide leadership and coaching to entire sales team to ensure appropriate skill level, technical knowledge, and performance. Drive new product development initiatives by collaborating closely with internal teams to build a product roadmap and portfolio that aligns with emerging market demands. In coordination with Global Marketing group, monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Define metrics and reports by submitting activity and results to the business administration. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and formulating recommendations. Participate in sales negotiations and proposal efforts. Review and sign-off all quotations for the segment prepared by the sales team. Define strategy and implement pricing policies. Represent company at trade shows, exhibitions, and seminars to enhance brand visibility and foster customer connections. Maintain effective budgetary controls of sales expenses.

Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Sales Supervisor, Design Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with business development, customer technical support, product portfolio management, compressor sales, commercial strategies for OEM customers, and sales forecast. 40hrs/week.
